Thanks for using SnipCSS! Our mission is to create the ultimate tool for templating and reusing CSS snippets. Here we describe how we collect, use, and handle your personal data when you use our websites, software, and services (“Services”).
What & Why
We collect and use the following information to provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services:
Account information. We collect, and associate with your account, the information you provide to us when you do things such as sign up for your account, and upgrade to a paid plan.
CSS Snippets. Our Services are designed as a simple way to extract CSS style rules and HTML markup from any website to create reusable html/css templates. (“CSS Snippets”). To make that possible, we may store, process, or transmit data related to the snippets created using the SnipCSS Extension. This related information includes your profile information that makes it easier to collaborate and share snippets with others, as well as things like the original website the snippet was extracted from, the element selector of the snippet, the time it was uploaded, and usage activity. By using SnipCSS you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post in connection with using the SnipCSS extension (IP License).
Usage information. We collect information related to how you use the Services, including actions you take in your account (like sharing, viewing, creating and downloading snippets). We use this information to provide, improve, and promote our Services, and protect SnipCSS users.
Device information. We also collect information from and about the devices you use to access the Services. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, the web page you visited before coming to our sites, and identifiers associated with your devices. .
Cookies and other technologies. We use technologies like cookies and pixel tags to provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services. For example, cookies help us with things like remembering your username for your next visit, understanding how you are interacting with our Services, and improving them based on that information. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services.
Marketing. We give users the option to use some of our Services free of charge. These free Services are made possible by the fact that some users upgrade to one of our paid Services. If you register for our Services, we will, from time to time, send you information about upgrades when permissible. Users who receive these marketing materials can opt out at any time. If you don’t want to receive a particular type of marketing material from us, click the ‘unsubscribe’ link in the corresponding emails..
How we protect your information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.
Sharing your personal information
We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners and trusted affiliates for the purposes outlined above.
Deleting or Modifying Your Personal Information
If you've given us personally identifiable information in the past and want it updated or deleted, you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
